DODA, DECEMBER 17: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh today flagged off two emergency health care ambulance services for the remote areas of Ghat and Gandoh from DC Office Complex Doda, marking a significant step towards strengthening emergency medical services in the district.

The initiative aims to ensure timely medical assistance, particularly for patients in far-flung and hilly areas where access to healthcare facilities has remained a challenge.

The flag-off ceremony was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner; Anil Kumar Thakur; Chief Planning Officer; Manesh Kumar Manhas; Chief Medical Officer; Dr. Tanvir Ahmed, Block Medical Officer Gandoh; Dr. Farooq Salim, BMO Ghat; Dr. Abdul Gaffur Ahmed besides other officers and officials of the district administration and Health Department.

The newly inducted ambulances are equipped with essential emergency medical facilities and are expected to significantly reduce response time during critical situations.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the demand for ambulances in Ghat and Gandoh was pending for a long time and keeping public welfare as the top priority, the district administration took the initiative to provide these services.

The DC further informed that the district administration is fully geared up to implement the Government of India’s flagship outreach initiative “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore,” aimed at resolving genuine public issues, demands and grievances at the grassroots level.

The week-long campaign would commence from December 19, 2025 and continue till Dec 25. Listing the government pension and welfare schemes, he said these are meant to provide social security to eligible beneficiaries.
