Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Saturday reported four deaths and another spike of 1,606 cases pushing the number of active cases to 20,663 in the UT.
With four more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,706 and 1,606 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 445,497.
Of the exact number of 445,497 cases, 283,730 are from Kashmir division and 161,767 from Jammu division.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 1,606 new cases, 719 belong to Kashmir division while as 887 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 283,730 including 267,233 recoveries and 2,404 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 161,767 including 152,895 recoveries and 2,302 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 20,663 including 14,093 from Kashmir division and 6,570 from Jammu division.
With 5,019 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 420,128 which is 94.30 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 212 from Srinagar, 113 from Baramulla, 75 from Budgam, 47 from Pulwama, 63 from Kupwara, 86 from Anantnag, 45 from Bandipora, 35 from Ganderbal, 33 from Kulgam and 10 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 887 from Jammu division include 307 from Jammu district, 46 from Udhampur, 24 from Rajouri, 259 from Doda, 24 from Kathua, 94 from Samba, 26 from Kishtwar, 19 from Poonch, 79 from Ramban and 09 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 100,847 positive cases including 903 deaths and 93,817 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,265 including 303 deaths and 33,927 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,346 including 33,323 recoveries and 230 deaths are from Budgam, 18,266 including 17,707 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,357 including 172 deaths and 20,488 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,221 including 20,667 recoveries and 218 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,545 cases including 12,856 and 115 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,481 including 13,054 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,148 including 15,253 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,254 including 5,990 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 74,189 including 69,818 recoveries and 1,216 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,469 including 13,992 recoveries and 145 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,683 including 12,260 recoveries and 246 deaths are from Rajouri, 10,507 including 9,307 recoveries and 142 deaths are from Doda, 11,159 including 10,718 recoveries and 162 deaths are from Kathua, 8,993 including 8,580 recoveries and 123 deaths are from Samba, 5,757 including 5,439 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,669 including 7,246 recoveries and 108 deaths are from Poonch, 7,778 including 7,182 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,563 including 8,353 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Reasi.
