DODA, FEBRUARY 18: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh, today visited the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) of Municipal Committee here at Akramabad to inspect its operations and ensure efficient functioning.
During the visit, the DC closely examined the working of machines at the facility and interacted with the Executive Officer, Municipal Council (MC) as well as representatives from various Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) involved in waste management initiatives.
DC Harvinder Singh held discussions with the Municipal Council teams and NGO representatives to understand the challenges faced in waste processing and explore ways to improve the facility’s efficiency. He emphasized the importance of waste segregation, recycling, and proper disposal to maintain a clean and sustainable environment in the district.
The DC Doda also lauded the efforts of the Municipal Council and NGOs in promoting waste management practices and assured them of full administrative support in strengthening these initiatives.
