DODA, DECEMBER 6: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda Harvinder Singh on Friday chaired a comprehensive review meeting here in the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex to assess the performance of departments of Agriculture, Education, Animal Husbandry, Sports, District Employment, and Industries among others.

The meeting was attended by general manager (GM) district industries centre S – Parmjeet Singh; Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Manesh Kumar Manhas; District Employment and Counselling Centre Officer Nehal Pandit; Chief Education Officer (CEO) P.L. Thapa; District Youth Services and Sports Officer Sunil Kumar and other officials.

Discussions focused on accelerating the registration process for government-sponsored schemes like Daksh Kisan, Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), and Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKG) to extend maximum benefits to farmers in the district.

It was highlighted that 6,000 farmers have been registered under the KKG scheme. The DC Doda expressed concern over the slow pace and directed the concerned officers to expedite the process. He emphasized the importance of achieving the registration target within the stipulated time frame and stressed that every eligible farmer must be enrolled in the KKG app to ensure comprehensive coverage.

The departments were urged to enhance outreach and awareness programs to educate farmers about the benefits of these schemes. He called for collaborative efforts among Agriculture and allied departments to streamline the registration process and address challenges on the ground. Additionally, he instructed officials to maintain transparency and accountability in implementing welfare schemes to ensure timely delivery of services to beneficiaries.
