SRINAGAR, MAY 11:- Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo today chaired a review meeting senior Revenue Officers at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to assess tehsil-wise progress on key revenue matters, with specific focus on the digitization of revenue records in the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Aadil Fareed, SDM West Irfan Bahadur, SDM East Zubair Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Umar Gulzar, all Tehsildars and other concerned.

At the outset, the DC undertook a detailed assessment of the ongoing digitization process across all Tehsils and directed Officers to expedite the remaining digitization activities to ensure 100 percent completion of the process by end of this month.

While reviewing the progress of digitization of Revenue records in the district, the DC was informed that over 75 percent of Revenue records have been digitized so far across Srinagar district, while the work on the remaining records is progressing at a fast pace.

The DC stressed that digitization of Revenue records is a vital governance reform aimed at ensuring transparency, efficiency and citizen-centric service delivery, besides facilitating easy access to land-related information. He instructed the officers to maintain close coordination and ensure accuracy in the digitized records to avoid discrepancies and inconvenience to the public.
