BANDIPORA, APRIL 16: Continuing its sustained outreach under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, the District Administration Bandipora on Thursday organized a series of IEC (Information, Education and Communication) awareness programmes across multiple Panchayat Halqas, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and educational institutions in the district.
The IEC activities were conducted across ULB areas including Sumbal (Bon Mohalla), Bandipora (Ward No. 12 Kaloosa) and Hajin (Bhanger Mohalla), as well as several educational institutions including HSS Quilmuqam, HS Malangam, GHSS Dawer, HS Kanzalwan, HSS Gadakhud, HSS Chuntimulla, HSS Shahgund and HS Odina.
A multi-departmental team comprising officials and resource persons from Health, Police, Education, Social Welfare, Excise & Taxation, Youth Services & Sports and JKNRLM participated in the programmes, ensuring a coordinated and impactful awareness campaign at the grassroots level.
During the sessions, resource persons sensitized participants about the harmful effects of drug abuse and emphasized the importance of preventive measures, healthy lifestyle choices and collective societal responsibility in eradicating substance abuse.
The programmes witnessed active participation from students, local residents and community members, who engaged meaningfully in the sessions and expressed their commitment to support the Nasha Mukt initiative.
