UDHAMPUR, JULY 18: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Udhampur convened a meeting in the Conference Hall of the District Court Complex today, focusing on the “For the Nation” 90 day Mediation drive Campaign. The initiative is a 90-day mediation drive aimed at settling pending cases in all Taluka Courts and District Courts.

The meeting was chaired by Additional District & Sessions Judge Kamlesh Pandit, who emphasized the importance of disposing of cases within the prescribed timeline.

Secretary DLSA Dr. Smriti Sharma, along with all Judicial Officers/Judges of the District Court, the Bar President and office bearers and all mediators of the DLSA, attended the meeting.

During the session, the Presiding Officer stressed that mediators play a vital role in ensuring cases are resolved efficiently and effectively. He urged the mediators to work diligently to dispose of cases within the given timeframe, highlighting the significance of timely justice delivery in reducing the burden on the judicial system.

The Addl. District & Sessions Judge sensitized the stakeholders about the importance of mediation in achieving speedy justice and reducing case backlogs. The meeting served as a platform for Judicial Officers, mediators and Bar representatives to discuss strategies and best practices for the successful implementation of the mediation drive.
