MHA orders promotion of Anand Jain, Nitish Kumar

Srinagar, Dec 28: The Union Home Ministry has approved promotion of Anand Jain (IG Jammu) and Nitish Kumar (IG,CID) as additional director generals of police(ADGPs).

In an order, a copy of which is in possession of news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Ministry of Home Affairs said that Anand Jain and Nitish Kumar, IPS officers of 1999 batch, are promoted as ADGPs from 01.01.2024 or from the date from which they will assume charge, whichever is later.

The MHA order comes after the screening committee cleared their promotion proposal on Dec 20—(KNO)
