RAMBAN, OCTOBER 30: The Employment Department Ramban, in collaboration with the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gool, organized an awareness-cum-counselling programme under Mission Yuva here in the Conference Hall. The event aimed to sensitize the youth about different self-employment and livelihood generation schemes being implemented under Mission Yuva.

The programme was presided over by SDM Imtiaz Ahmed in the presence of Tehsildar Harjeet Singh; Block Development Officer (BDO) Sadam Hussain; Assistant Director Employment Amit Kumar; Career Counselling Officer (CCO) Employment and officers and officials from allied departments including Agriculture, ITI and J&K Bank.

The participants were apprised in detail about the schemes, initiatives and benefits available under Mission Yuva- a flagship initiative of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir aimed at empowering youth through skill development, entrepreneurship and employment facilitation.

Speaking on the occasion, the SDM appreciated the efforts of the Employment Department Ramban for conducting such informative sessions in far-flung areas like Gool. He urged the youth to derive maximum benefit of Mission Yuva schemes and adopt self-reliance as a guiding principle for their professional growth. He also highlighted the importance of youth participation in nation-building through innovation and entrepreneurship.

In his address, Assistant Director Employment Ramban briefed the participants about the objectives and components of Mission Yuva. He emphasized that such initiatives are designed to provide financial assistance, mentorship and skill-based opportunities to unemployed youth, enabling them to become job creators rather than job seekers.

Career Counselling Officer (CCO) Employment, Aamir Hassan conducted a detailed counselling session on Mission Yuva schemes and gave a live demonstration of the Mission Yuva Mobile Application, highlighting its key features, registration process and online accessibility of various schemes and services. He encouraged youth to secure registration on the app and utilize the digital platform for availing benefits and guidance.

Later, SDM Gool handed over 10 Sanctioned letters to the applicants of Mission YUVA, which were recently sanctioned by the JK bank Gool and Sangaldan Branches.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, during which participants raised their queries related to employment schemes, which were ably responded by the concerned officers.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youth, students and representatives from various departments. The initiative was aimed at bridging the information gap and encouraging youth to explore avenues of self-employment through the holistic interventions of Mission Yuva.
