RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 23: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma, a series of impactful activities were organised today across Rajouri district as a part of the ongoing campaign under Sewa Parv.

The DSEO Rajouri (Nodal Officer Sewa Parv), in collaboration with the Forest Department and hostel inmates, took a Swachhta Pledge and carried out a cleanliness as well as plantation drive at Govt. Boys Pahari Hostel.

The seventh day of the campaign was further marked by diverse welfare activities, awareness drives, and community outreach initiatives, reinforcing the spirit of inclusive development and citizen empowerment.
Departments across the district worked in tandem to deliver services and raise awareness about various flagship schemes and initiatives.

The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Department conducted awareness programmes on government welfare schemes and facilitated the registration of eligible women under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) to foster maternal and child health services.

The Fisheries Department organised Kisan Goshtis to educate farmers on best practices, government support schemes, and the potential for growth in the fisheries sector.

The Common Services Centres (CSCs) played a key role in promoting digital empowerment by conducting sessions on digital literacy and cyber hygiene, equipping citizens with essential knowledge about online safety and responsible internet use.

The Health Department held screening camps and facilitated registrations under the PM Ayushman Bharat Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), ensuring wider access to quality healthcare services.

J&K Bank undertook financial inclusion and enrolment drives, encouraging people to open bank accounts, avail government-backed financial schemes and embrace formal banking systems.

The Agriculture Department led awareness sessions on vital schemes such as PM-KISAN, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), and the importance of Soil Health Cards, aiming to enhance farm productivity and rural prosperity.

To promote environmental sustainability, the Forest Department launched extensive plantation drives, while Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) conducted Swachhta drives and community tree plantation events, rallying citizens around the cause of cleanliness and urban greening.

The Rural Development Department (RDD) celebrated “Clean Green Utsav”, promoting eco-friendly and zero-waste celebrations, underlining the district’s commitment to sustainable practices.

Additionally, the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) created awareness about Mission YUVA, aimed at empowering rural youth through skill-building and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Besides these, various other departments also organised numerous welfare activities in alignment with the objectives of Sewa Parv, ensuring broad-based outreach and public participation.

Sewa Parv continues to serve as a dynamic platform for integrated service delivery, celebrating good governance and deepening citizen-government connect across every corner of Rajouri district.
