KISHTWAR, OCTOBER 1: The second last day of Sewa Parv 2025 was marked with a series of impactful initiatives across District Kishtwar organised under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma.
The activities highlighted the district’s continued commitment to cleanliness, environmental sustainability and citizen-centric outreach.
The Fisheries Department organized an awareness and outreach programme at Panchayat Ghar Dool, sensitizing fish farmers and the local community about government schemes including PMMSY, HADP, KCC and ATMA.
The Participants were briefed on financial assistance, credit facilities, innovative practices and training opportunities designed to boost fish production, strengthen livelihoods, and promote welfare of the fisher community.
Further, the Municipal Council Kishtwar engaged Swachhata Interns in awareness campaigns and a Plog Run, encouraging public participation in cleanliness drives.
As part of the community service initiative, Adult Literacy classes were conducted at Government High School Affani, Paddar to promote education and awareness among adults, empowering them with basic literacy skills.
Under the Sewa Parv initiative, Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) in Kishtwar District conducted growth monitoring for beneficiaries. This activity included growth measurements using specialized devices, BMI calculation and health check-ups, all in collaboration with the Health Department.
In addition, departments including Health, Rural Development, Forest, Education and Social Welfare held multiple outreach and awareness programmes across subdivisions, tehsils and blocks, ensuring widespread community involvement and effective implementation of Sewa Parv initiatives.
