Traffic on Kishtwar-Dul Road to remain suspended between 1330 hrs to 1500 hrs on Sept 13

KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 12: The Kishtwar administration has imposed temporary restriction on vehicular movement on Kishtwar-Dul Road at KM 8.50 (near RR Camp) for blasting of Stone Boulder.

“The Officer Commanding, 118 (GREF) vide communication No 239/Gen/KDGS/96/E2 dated 12.09.2025, has intimated that due to torrential rainfall on 03.09.2025, a huge stone boulder which had fallen on the road at KM 8.50 on Kishtwar-Dul Road, thereby obstructing the safe movement of heavy vehicles; and for clearance of the said boulder and ensuring smooth flow traffic, blasting activity has been scheduled by the concerned agency on 13.09.2025 between 1330 hrs to 1500 hrs. Therefore, it is hereby ordered that the said road stretch shall remain temporarily closed for all vehicular movement on 13.09.2025 from 1330 hrs to 1500 hrs, to facilitate the safe lasting operations. Further, the Officer Commanding, 118 RCC (GREF), shall ensure timely completion of the blasting work and adopt all requisite safety measures during the blasting operation. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar, shall ensure strict implementation of this order in letter and spirit,” an order issued by DM Kishtwar stated.
