Uplifting the Poor, Developing Far-Flung Areas in Bandipora My Only Agenda: Usman Majid
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsappTelegram

Former Minister and MLA Bandipora, Usman Majid here on Sunday reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to uplifting the poor and developing underprivileged areas, emphasizing that these remain his primary focus. Speaking during a public meeting in the Nussoo area of the Bandipora constituency, Majid stressed the urgent need for inclusive development that reaches every corner of the region, particularly areas that have long been neglected.

Drawing from his extensive experience as Minister and MLA, Majid assured the people of his dedication to addressing these challenges with the same vigour and effectiveness he demonstrated in the past. “My mission is to ensure that every individual in bandipora has access to the basic amenities they deserve and to bring sustainable development to even the most far-flung areas,” he said.

Majid promised to elevate Bandipora to new heights in terms of development and prosperity. He outlined his vision for equitable growth, which includes upgrading infrastructure, improving healthcare facilities, and enhancing educational opportunities in the remote regions of Bandipora and beyond. He highlighted several initiatives undertaken during his tenure that have already brought positive changes while emphasizing the need for sustained efforts to build on this progress.

He further stressed that his political journey has always been centred on improving the living conditions of the underprivileged. “My only agenda is to work for the welfare of the poor and to ensure that development extends to even the most remote areas,” he said.

Majid cited his previous tenure as an example of effective governance, mentioning numerous developmental projects. These included the creation of a new district, the construction of roads, and the establishment of crucial infrastructure such as Bandipora College, Bandipora Hospital, and vital road networks. He asserted that continuing this development is his primary aim and agenda.

He also urged the people of Bandipora not to be swayed by the false claims of the INC-NC alliance and to see through their rhetoric. “The INC-NC has repeatedly shown that they care only for their own power and interests, not for the welfare of the people of Bandipora,” Majid added.

Majid also addressed a series of meetings in Naidkhai, Bandipora town, Ashtingoo, Chandaji, and other areas of the constituency as part of his ongoing efforts to strengthen his support base and reach every corner of Bandipora. At these gatherings, Majid said, “Our movement is reaching every household in Bandipora, and we are committed to ensuring equitable development across the region.”

He also urged his supporters, party workers, and new entrants to engage in a vigorous door-to-door campaign to educate voters about the significance of this election.
