POONCH, JUNE 22: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting of the District Rent Assessment Committee (DRAC) to discuss and approve rent revision of government offices functioning in private rented accommodations.
During the meeting, the committee held detailed deliberations with concerned departments and private building owners regarding various rent proposals. Out of the 09 cases taken up for consideration, 08 were approved, while one case was deferred for re-verification.
The cases pertained to several departments including Revenue, Ayush, Handloom, CDPO, Animal Husbandry, Handicraft and others.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of timely payment of rent to private building owners and highlighted the need to ensure proper safety and security measures in government offices operating from rented premises.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Muhammad Sayeed besides concerned officers and Private building owners also participated in the deliberations.
