Implementation of Constitutional Safeguards, Welfare & Development Schemes for STs reviewed at Rajouri

RAJOURI, MARCH 22: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa today chaired a meeting to review the implementation of constitutional safeguards, welfare, and development schemes for Scheduled Tribes (STs) in the district.

During the meeting, the ADDC discussed the questionnaires provided by the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) with all the concerned departments. He directed them to furnish the requisite information in a timely manner to ensure effective monitoring and implementation of welfare initiatives aimed at the ST community.

Dr. Thapa emphasized the need for a coordinated approach among departments to address the concerns of the ST population and ensure that all welfare and development schemes reach the intended beneficiaries efficiently.

He also stressed the importance of timely data submission to the NCST for policy formulation and effective governance.

The officers were directed to expedite the implementation of ST welfare schemes and regularly monitor their impact at the grassroots level.

The meeting was attended by ACR Mohd Jahangir Khan, DMO, Mohammad Sayeed, CPO Maqsood Ahmed, DSEO Sandeep Kumar, CEO, CMO Manohar Rana, ACD Vijay Kumar Verma, DPO Ch. Mohd Nawaz, DSWO Abdul Raheem, AD Employees & CC, and other district and sectoral officers.
