DODA, NOVEMBER 13: Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh today flagged off the Poshan Abhiyaan Van, here from the DC office complex.

This mobile awareness van, an initiative of the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the District Administration Doda, aims to spread awareness about nutrition under the “Poshan on Wheels” program- the part of the larger Poshan Abhiyaan mission. The campaign focuses on promoting healthy nutritional habits, especially in rural and remote areas, to improve community health and well-being.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Sudershan Kumar; District Project Officer, ICDS, Parmjeet Singh; CPO Manesh Kumar Manhas were also present at the flag-off ceremony.

The event was marked by the gathering of the officials from the ICDS, who expressed their commitment to spread the message of proper nutrition across every household. Through this mobile van, the campaign will provide resources and information on essential nutrition for children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.

The mobile van is equipped with audio-visual equipment and informational materials designed to engage and educate the community effectively. Officials involved hoped that this initiative will play a significant role in building awareness about healthy diets and nutrition-related issues, as well as encouraging families to adopt better eating habits.
