DLSA Kathua organising Pre-Lok Adalat from April 28 to May 9 ahead of 2nd National Lok Adalat

KATHUA, APRIL 21: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kathua, under the guidance of its Secretary, is organizing a Pre-Lok Adalat from 28th April 2025 to 9th May 2025 ahead of the upcoming this year’s 2nd National Lok Adalat scheduled on 10th May 2025.

The sessions are being held at the ADR Centre of the District Court Complex to facilitate amicable settlements and the final disposal of cases through the alternative dispute resolution mechanism.

The categories of cases to be taken up include both pre-litigation and pending matters. Pre-litigation cases will cover disputes related to cheque bounce under the Negotiable Instruments Act, bank recovery, labour disputes, and water bills. Pending cases will include criminal compoundable offences, cheque bounce cases, bank recovery matters, MACT cases, matrimonial disputes, domestic violence and maintenance matters, land acquisition cases, labour challans, civil cases and traffic challans.

All interested individuals, departments or organizations seeking amicable resolution of their disputes have been advised to approach the office of the District Legal Services Authority with relevant details such as case title, case number, date of hearing, and the name of the court, to get their cases listed before the Lok Adalat bench.
