RAMBAN, JULY 04: MLA Ramban Arjun Singh Raju and Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today flagged off the annual Paviter Sarvadhar Chari Yatra from Ukhral to the shrine of Senabhati Sarvadhar.

The Sarvadhar Yatra is dedicated to Mata Chamunda Devi and culminates at the Chamunda Mata Temple atop Sarvadhar Peak in the Pogal-Paristan area of Ramban district. The yatra reflects the faith of the people and attracts devotees from Ramban and several other districts of Jammu & Kashmir every year.

On the occasion, the MLA extended greetings to the pilgrims for a safe and spiritually enriching pilgrimage. He highlighted the importance of preserving the region’s religious and cultural heritage and appreciated the faith of the devotees participating in the yatra.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said the District Administration, in coordination with police and other line departments, has made civil and security arrangements for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage, including deployment of security personnel, medical assistance, drinking water, sanitation and transport management.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak, SDM Ramsoo Mohammad Muzahir Hussain Shah, President Bar Association Ramban Suraj Singh Parihar, other dignitaries and a large number of devotees.
