UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 4: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board today handed over relief material to the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai for onward distribution among flood-affected families.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the district has witnessed widespread devastation due to the prolonged spell of heavy rains and flash floods. She informed that the administration is making concerted efforts to expedite relief and rehabilitation measures, restore damaged infrastructure and provide temporary shelters to the displaced families.
She further reiterated that the District Administration is fully committed to extending every possible support to the affected population during this difficult time.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Prem Singh and other officers and Officials were present.
