Ashmuqam, May 25 : In the sixth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, youngsters, especially the first time voters at Hardu-Kichru area of Ashmuqam cast their ballots with an aim to get the dozens of local youth released from jails.

According to the news agency, the first time voters expressed their excitement of turning up at the polling booths, which according to them was a different and enjoyable experience.

Adil Ahmad Wagay, a local resident and a first time voter believes that his vote would end up the imprisonment of dozens of local youth, who according to him are languishing in different jails.

“At least 5-6 youth hailing from my locality are presently lodged in different jails, while the number varies from 15-24 the whole hamlet,” Wagay said.

Wagay further said, “Not only me, but almost all the youngsters here have decided to cast their ballots with an aim to choose their candidate, who can raise the voice in parliament to get our local youth released from the imprisonment.”

Wagay was not the only youth who had the motive to get the local youth released, but several others, who were around the polling booth also echoed the similar views and said, “only the vote can change the fate of the youth and also it will help us to ensure a better future for the new generation, especially those who are in different jails.”
