SHOPIAN, MAY 13: One Stop Centre (OSC) Shopian organized a comprehensive awareness programme at Pehlipora Keller, Shopian, focusing on the services offered by OSC and the 181 Women Helpline.
The event aimed to sensitize the local community, particularly women, about the support mechanisms available to victims of violence and abuse.
During the programme, participants were informed about the wide range of assistance provided by OSC including legal aid, psychological counseling, temporary shelter, and police facilitation.
Special emphasis was laid on the significance of the 181 Helpline, a toll-free number dedicated to addressing women’s issues and ensuring timely intervention.
Notably, several cases were registered on the spot, reflecting the immediate impact and relevance of the initiative.
The programme underscored the commitment of OSC Shopian towards creating a safer and more responsive environment for women, empowering them to seek help and assert their rights with confidence.
