KISHTWAR, AUGUST 13: In a significant lead-up to the Independence Day 2024 celebrations, the District Administration Kishtwar, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav, is set to organize a grand Tiranga Rally and Tiranga Concert on August 14, 2024. This event, part of the “Har Ghar Jhanda, Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, will take place at the District Headquarters in Kishtwar, symbolizing unity and national pride.
To finalize the preparation for this mega event, a meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Dr. Devansh Yadav at the DC Office Complex.

The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including SSP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom, ADC Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal, DIO Kishtwar Shafkat Keen, AO DC Office Satinder Singh, CEO Kishtwar Javeed Ahmed Kichloo, DYSSO Kishtwar Jaffer H Sheikh, EO Municipal Council Kishtwar, and representatives from the Cultural Cell, JKAACL, PWD, Traffic Police, and other concerned departments.

The meeting focused on finalizing the detailed arrangements for the Tiranga Rally and Concert. Key discussions included the route of the rally, security arrangements, stage setup for the concert, and other logistical needs to ensure the smooth execution of the event.

It was decided that the rally would commence at 10:00 AM from Dak Banglow Chock Kishtwar and follow a designated path, culminating at the historic Chowgan Ground, where it will seamlessly merge into the Tiranga Concert.

During the meeting, the ACD Kishtwar was instructed to ensure the availability of flags for the event, while the EO Municipality was tasked with arranging the installation of flags around the circumference of Chowgan Ground.

The CEO Kishtwar was directed to ensure the participation of students from all schools within the township and surrounding areas, along with their escort teachers, to amplify the patriotic spirit of the event.

Additionally, all officers were tasked with ensuring the readiness of essential arrangements, including the stage setup, Public Address System (PAS), music system, refreshments, and drinking water facilities during the rally and concert.

The concerned cultural authorities provided an update on the preparations for the Tiranga Concert, detailing the program schedule and assuring their full support in making the event a success.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav emphasized the importance of making the Tiranga Rally and Concert a grand and memorable event. He highlighted that these activities are not only about celebrating the nation’s independence but also about instilling a deep sense of patriotism among the participants, especially the younger generation.

Dr. Devansh Yadav urged all involved to ensure meticulous planning and execution, ensuring that every aspect of the event reflects the significance of the occasion.

He also appealed to the general public of Kishtwar to participate in large numbers in tomorrow’s event, encouraging them to join in the celebration of the nation’s independence and contribute to the success of the Tiranga Rally and Concert.
