Police arrests absconder evading arrest for over 6 years in Kupwara

Kupwara, April 16 : Continuing its crackdown against absconders, Kupwara Police has arrested an absconder who was evading his arrests from last six years.

A Police Party of Police Station Kralpora arrested one absconder, identified as Tariq Ahmad Mir S/O Sona ullah Mir a resident of Sirajpora Vilgam Kupwara, had been evading arrest for a long time in a case of stone pelting in FIR No. 94/2017.

Following the arrest, the accused person was produced before the Hon’ble Court of Law for further legal proceedings where from he has been further lodged in District Jail Kupwara.

Police is implementing rigorous measures to ensure that the individuals who have absconded themselves be apprehended and held accountable for their criminal actions.

Kupwara police is committed to act in accordance with the law against those who engage in criminal activities. The dedication to combating Crime remains steadfast.
