Katra, Mar 01 : Ahead of J&K Union Territory’s maiden budget session Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president and Union Health Minister J P Nadda on Saturday asked the party legislators to prioritize constituency development and maintain deep connections with the electorate.
Nadda, while addressing the concluding session of two-day BJP workshop here, according to the news agency, said, “Posts are transient, but the trust of the people is enduring.”
He advised legislators to proactively engage with communities through platforms like Krishi Vigyan Kendras, Asha workers’ meetings, and parent-teacher interactions in government schools.
Nadda emphasized the need for MLAs to be “good listeners” to effectively resolve public grievances and regularly visit SC/ST communities to ensure inclusive development.
Nadda also visited the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and paid obeisance. He was accompanied by his wife, Malika, union minister Jitendra Singh, BJP national general secretary and J&K in-charge Tarun Chugh, and party’s J&K unit president Sat Sharma.
Pertinently, Nadda participated in the workshop, ‘Vidahayak Prashikshan Shivir’, that aims to prepare BJP legislators for active participation in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Budget session slated to commence on March 3 in Jammu.
The workshop commenced on Friday at Katra. It was inaugurated by BJP national general secretary (organization) B. L. Santosh, along with national IT and social media head Amit Malviya.
